Revealing the full potential of plants through science, passion, and purpose
From concept to industry-ready biotech
A clear need
STH BIOTECH was founded in 2021 by Héloïse and Naomi, two biotechnology engineers united by a shared ambition: to make the therapeutic power of plants more accessible.
Their journey began with a focused interest in medicinal cannabis. While rare cannabinoids held strong therapeutic potential, the limitations of conventional cultivation and extraction methods made them difficult to access in a reliable, scalable, and standardized way.
This conviction was reinforced by personal experiences with relatives facing chronic pain, neurological disorders, and other conditions with no effective treatment. These moments deepened their belief that cannabinoids could offer safer, more efficient alternatives — if only a new way of producing them could be developed.

A scalable solution
After six months of academic development, they brought the project to Genopole, France’s leading biotech hub, where they set up the technology within the Shaker and Gene.IO programs. This environment provided the resources, expertise, and momentum to turn their idea into a scalable innovation platform.
This vision led to the development of SATIVITRO®, a proprietary biotech platform designed to produce plant bioactives without relying on traditional farming. As the technology matured, its potential naturally extended beyond cannabinoids, offering a new standard for accessing a broader range of high-value plant molecules.
Today, STH BIOTECH specializes in the bioproduction and development of plant-based compounds for biotechnological and industrial innovation. What began as a research challenge has become a deeptech company reshaping how plant-based innovation is brought to the world.
Our vision is to remove these barriers by establishing plant biotechnology as a reliable and scalable alternative to traditional sourcing. We are committed to demonstrating that sustainability is not a constraint but a true performance factor and to enabling the development of new, high-value solutions for human health, well-being, and scientific innovation.
By replacing land-intensive farming with clean and controlled production methods, we aim to reduce the environmental footprint of natural ingredient sourcing — and grow lasting expertise in plant-based innovation.
SATIVITRO® brings together scientific precision, production reliability, and environmental responsibility — offering a clean and forward-looking model for natural ingredient production.
Our Team
We are a fast-growing team of scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs, united by shared values — empathy, impact, rigor and integrity — and by the belief that biotech can change the future of plant-based innovation.
